Short term

Develop organization

  • Find and name 9 member board of directors.
  • Create Bylaws and become a 501c3 tax exempt organization.
  • Create a budget for 2008.
  • Recruit and hire Executive Director.
  • Recruit and hire Rugby Development Officer.
  • Develop and implement fund raising plan.

Long term growth goals

  • Recruit and train a number of additional coaches to fill the future needs that will be created by growth.
  • Recruit and train a number of additional referees to fill the future needs that will be created by growth.
  • Develop and implement a plan to transform the current “community based” teams into single school high school teams.
  • Develop a plan to continue the growth of Youth/U19 Rugby in Vermont. Implement that plan with the ultimate goal to have 20 high school based boys and girls teams by 2010.
  • Begin the process to have Rugby recognized as a school based Varsity sport by the Vermont Principals Association in 2011.
  • Have a number of former players from the Vermont Youth Rugby Association playing on the US Eagles winning team at the 2019 Rugby World Cup!!!
